The name Leo is also important. Leo the 13 wrote the foundations of Catholic Social Teaching and cared for immigrants (he sent Mother Cabrini to the states to care for immigrants)

It is very interesting, the name he chose. Pope Leo XIII wrote the Rerum Novarum Enciclic, which is the cornerstone of the Social Cristianism movement. This fills me with hope.

If you think about it, the global South has been represented not once but twice between Pope Francis (Argentina) and Pope Leo XIV (being an adult citizen of US and Peru).

The "Leos" also have a long history of standing against rulers and tyrants around the world. Like Saint Leo I with Genghis Khan, Leo the XIII with Alexander II, etc. Even the name is a statement.
