Bec the Librarian 🇦🇺 :
So I recently learned a fun bat fact if anyone is interested: Hardwood eucalypts (eucalypts being the most common trees in Australia), only blossom at night, which means they can't be pollinated by bees, birds, butterflies etc. Guess who does all that work? Bats! Specifically, Flying Foxes. So our Aussie eco system and the trees that home koalas and so many native birds are all thanks to these cute little guys.

y'all the reason bats are considered dangerous is because a lot of them are carriers for rabies (and other stuff but thats the important one here) and if you get bit by one it's likely you won't even notice, there's tons of cases of people being bit and contracting rabies and not knowing, if you find a bat in your home at any point go to the hospital for rabies treatment asap, yes they're cute, but they are dangerous (through no fault of their own)
