@pbsnews: Former Memphis police officers acquitted of murder Three Memphis police officers were found not guilty Wednesday. The three former officers were being charged for the 2023 fatal beating of 29-year-old FedEx worker, Tyre Nichols. Testimony revealed that Nichols, who had no prior warrants, was pulled over for a traffic violation and repeatedly hit and kicked by the officers. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition and succumbed to his injuries three days later.
