Another thing is look into local farms, even small ones like mine have a farm share program. We pay a flat fee for the entire growing season and get fresh produce. If you can afford it, do it.

wish this was a thing in all countries. In my country we only have an app that has some places, to give day old, etc, stuff with a discount. All supermarkets should be required to donate their product
