@ogzeet: Don’t sleep on the blob brush fellow graphic designers! . How many times have you tried to customize fonts or shapes with the pencil tool, and it never really gives you the control you’d expect? Adjusting anchor points and handles doesn’t work in some cases, especially for more detailed curved shapes. The blob brush handles this pretty well - hold alt while brushing to smooth out your paths and to remove any redundant or excess anchor points.
