It works but you have to eat the fruit right away, especially the Strawberries. They start wilt and get soggy.

I used the baking soda in some water and let it soak for a few minutes that works. my grapes didn't have that weird waxy film on them.

I soaking in vinegar first, alone. Rinse. Shake on baking soda and soak with water. Rinse. If it is something like a potato or orange or lemon, I brush the skin as well before cutting it.

Vinegar is acidic and baking soda is alkaline. When you mix the two together, you might have a quick reaction but basically they’re canceling each other out to a neutral pH. Hello.

When I was in grade school we made volcanoes and to get an eruption, packed the peak with baking soda and poured vinegar over it. This is a chemical reaction, not cleaning.

Using vinegar with baking soda neutralizes both. You just did nothing besides waste both. Use one or the other with water.
