Did you know that people in Qatar need a special permit to purchase and consume alcohol for personal use? In Qatar, buying or drinking alcohol is regulated by strict laws because of the countries commitment to Islamic principles. The only time you’ll be able to have a drink is if you get it at a licensed venue like a club or certain hotels. You definitely don’t want to get drunk and make a scene outside because public intoxication is not tolerated. I didn’t really know any of this until I got there but did find some good spots to explore at night. I’m a big fan of checking out rooftops and found @Cavalli.Club.Qatar which is a rooftop club atop the @HorizonHotelDoha ; they served drinks and it was a great time. The views were also pretty amazing so I recommend checking it out if you’re ever in the city. & actually, there are two other spots you can check out inside the same building, but on different floors 👇🏾 @BailaQatar @KrossroadsQatar Thought this would be useful information for you if you ever decide to visit this Qatar & you’re wondering why you can’t have a drink at a restaurant or stop in for some wine or beer to go.
