She stared at me, clearly hurt. “Y/N, I’m tired of seeing you like this,” she said, making me look up at her as I tried to hold back the tears threatening to fall from my eyes. “Please promise me this is really the last time,” she added, holding out her pinky. I nodded and locked pinkies with her. Now, I’m at the basketball court, watching him play with his friends. The place is packed with people cheering for him. When the game finally ended, I made my way toward him. My heart was pounding. I handed him the cookies and brownies I had baked, along with a flower and a letter. “Sunghoon… I like you,” I said. Students passing by stopped to watch, whispering and gossiping. He looked at me with an irritated expression and said, “Stop doing this, Y/N. I don’t like you. Can’t you accept that?! I will never like you!” he shouted angrily. I stood frozen. My body started to tremble as I heard the laughter and whispers around me. Then, in front of everyone, he took the gifts — the cookies, the brownies, the flower, the letter — and threw them in the trash. “All of that belongs in there. Stop giving me those trashy gifts.
