my favorite grass I found I've used many times for putting greens an yard was outside pride from Oregon creeping bent grass , I'm in Central Texas an it was bright green with snow over it

Superintendent here. You are going to want ultra dwarf. Use the zoysia for the collar to prevent encroachment. Zoysia will be extremely grainy and slow.

don't use zoysia for a green. it's a fantastic grass but the grain gets bad after a little while and the mower will start walking on you. you'll never get a straight line
