As someone who has seen wicked on stage 8 times (oof) I agree - movie is better paced and more generous with the story than the show. The on stage show feels rushed and packs too much in.

Agree!! I finally caught the storyline the third time I saw the stage production… 😂 the movie just allows more time for setting and transition to appreciate the story!

I love theatre way more than movies. But you are right that the movie is easier and more accessible. Not saying that makes it better. The stage version is a higher reading level, movie is simplified
