@lucilletherescuecat: lucy came to me during a very unsafe time growing up, and we would lie shivering outside in a sleeping bag together, and i would hold her close and tell her that i would do anything to give her the life she deserved. i knew then - at age thirteen - that i would somehow craft together a life and a home where we were free and safe. that our life would be full to the brim with love. and here we are. 🥹 things aren’t perfect (are they ever really?) but i know thirteen year old me would be squealing with pure joy and disbelief if she could see how far we’ve come, and how we’ve upheld that promise. social media can be a dark toxic place, but here and there… it changes lives. and by sharing my love for lu, it has changed ours more than i can ever say. thankful for you all. :) #fyp #girlhood #cats #CapCut
