This $4000 Loro Piana jacket is a great example of poor product development. @Loro Piana The dark brown / black suede collar bleeds when exposed to water and dry cleaning solvent. So the collar needs to be completely removed before cleaning, then sewn back on after. This means that the client has to pay for the cleaning of their garment, and additional alteration charges. Another problem with removing and resewing is it will cause tons of damage to the fabric at the collar and the suede. Suede is not fabric with threads and needle holes (needling) will appear after every effort. Loro Piana is known for their experience with animal fibers and hides, so I am surprised to see such an obvious issue with this garment.
