POV:Jay is a chef at a nearby restaurant, a place known for its quality and delicious food. As a girl who always loves to eat, you were curious about the hype surrounding the restaurant. You were at work when you heard your colleagues talking about eating there later. You also wanted to go, but your shift wouldn’t end until 9, and you didn’t know if it would still be open. You sighed and proceeded to finish your work. It had been a long day. As you closed your laptop, you found yourself all alone in the office you had lost track of time. You even forgot to order something for dinner. Suddenly, you remembered the restaurant they had talked about. Gathering your things, you left the building. Since your apartment was within walking distance, you decided to walk home. You searched for the restaurant’s location, and your shoulders slumped when you read on the website that it closed at 8:00 PM. You were about to continue walking home when you suddenly spotted the restaurant across the street. Your eyes lit up it was still open. You checked the name of the place, and it matched what your colleagues had mentioned. Your smile grew bigger as you read the sign on the door: "OPEN."You pushed the door open, but to your surprise, there wasn’t a single customer inside. The tables and seats were empty. But your eyes locked onto the guy who seemed busy cooking at the kitchen counter. You slowly approached him, and he must have felt your presence because he turned around and greeted you with a smile. "Oh! Hi! Welcome to my restaurant," he greeted. "Uhm... Hi! I thought this place closed at 8?" you asked. "Well... technically, yes, but I feel like there are still customers like you, so I decided to keep it open until 9," he said, putting his hands in his pockets. "What can I get you?" You looked directly into his eyes. You couldn’t understand why he looked vaguely familiar. You felt like you had seen him somewhere before. "H-have we met before?" you asked out of nowhere. A smirk appeared on his face. "Maybe? We might have bumped into each other already. Right, Y/N?" "How do you know my name?" "It's on your office card. Executive secretary?" "Oh... yeah,"you smiled awkwardly. As the atmosphere between the two of you filled with a strange connection, you shifted the conversation to choosing an order.
