There are cheap little water spouts (battery or pump)that fit on a plastic 5 gallon water bottle.You can get them on Amazon.Then they have a little running water faucet. You just refill the 5gal jug

We use those pitchers with the spout for our mud kitchen. We hung it on nails from the top so they couldn’t spill it. Then we leave the top open so the rain fills it.

You could use a sun tea plastic gallon jug at Walmart for $5. It won’t break and the spout makes for an “on & off” switch
