Communism on paper SHOULD work. The only thing it doesn’t account for is human greed and our tendency to abuse power when we’re imbued with too much of it. Without greed it WOULD work.

The problem with current “critiques” of Communism/Socialism is they all fall into the trap of not enganging with theory. They either say 1) well *insert Mao/Lenin/Stalin* said they were communist and they were evil so = theory must be evil. 2) Or, they refuse to engage with it because they’re conditioned to this capitalism is the only possible system because it’s “our” system.

growing up in italy i had this negative idea of communism bc people would use the word "communist" as an insult. Then we actually learned about the communist ideology in middle school and i was genuinely confused, bc how could that be a bad thing

No one has ever made a compelling argument for capitalism. Explaining capitalism to anyone turns them off to it. Which is why capitalist use made up definitions to push their agendas
