@lucasablotia: Now more than ever, when addressing LGBT issues, safety must be the top priority, and there must be zero tolerance for hate-motivated crimes. Homophobia has been a constant experience in my life since childhood. When you live openly and freely as who you are, refusing to hide, you are sadly forced to constantly defend your freedom and face ongoing discrimination and, at times, violence. In Georgia🇬🇪: homophobia is systemic. For both society and the pro-Russian regime, it is a political tool used to maintain power. In Belgium🇧🇪: homophobia takes a different form. The state and all institutions genuinely strive to protect human rights and eliminate discrimination. Yet, despite these efforts, safety remains a serious concern. Today, for LGBT people including myself one of the main challenges is securing our safety.
