They don’t tell us the code. My apartment said it’s only given to Amazon, FedEx and UPS. We use our own key fobs to enter.

My appt building doesn’t have a code , it only opens with a key 🔑 . So, in my Amazon app under code instructions I put “ pls throw item over fence “ lol. I never order heavy or glass for the same reason!
