Thank you! As someone who lives in Nebraska and grew up in the sandhills (the sandhills has sustanable water due to the Ogellala aquapher but can't be overly farmed because of the 100's of miles of sandy soil and instead is mostly used as ranch land) I appreciate all of your knowledgeable content. I think explaining to people how much land 1 cow actually needs would be helpful for people to understand.

I've been saying this for years how eating ethically is going to hugely depend on where you are in the world. Its usually a good idea to take notes from local indigenous people.

I’ve read data that shows if we practice regenerative agriculture across all agriculture we can soil store all carbon output globally. Do you buy that? Can you recommend good reading?

Thank you for these complex answers. This is one reason I find it so hard to have the responsibility for the “right choice” put on the consumer—“just buy the grass fed!” or whatever.

Here is Alberta, Canada we have a crazy amount of land that isn’t suitable for anything but grass and hay. The cattle are healthy and make use of the land. That’s where most Canadian beef comes from

I run 100% grass fed, ~220 head on ~300 acres in ~6acre 1 day paddocks. I rotate out 10-15 acres a year to make a low input corn crop as training feed AND to have a couple rounds of ground feed in my back pocket to bump them up a hair

Maybe we should eat less beef?🤷🏼♀️

Eating less meat seems like the most environmentally friendly thing we can do. Also, as someone who lives in the west, I am not a fan of grazing cattle out here, especially on public lands. They aren’t good for the ecosystem.

🤯🤯🤯🤯 I’m just mindblown by farming complexities! Thank you for sharing your insight. I learn a lot from what you share. I’ll stick to my gardening hobby and support

This is why I'm so thankful for the internet and social media. This is all more than I have time to keep up with, but, if I can find farms such as yours whose interests and morals align with mine, /1

Also health problem of red meat, CVD & obesity, ain’t the red part, it’s the white. So sounds like skip Finishing solves eco, food supply, AND public health issues …but we gotta have that fat 😵💫

Most times tiktok gives you a stream of mildly entertaining comedy to downright boring rants. But once in a while you stumble on a creator that presents the knowledge they’re an expert at in such an enthralling way that you have no choice but to keep listening. Followed!

But most people don’t truly understand carbon sequestration. Yes, you can analyze it to heck or live in harmony with nature. It would be interesting to regrass our lands

This is why I personally like silvopasture. Don’t just grow cows on that land, grow trees, shrubs, canes, and vining plants and have rows of pasture in between. More diversity in income stream too

If people want to argue against communism I would say communists want this man to have a bunch of us make some food and use a certain amount of land to do so.
