I, an introvert, am married to the most extroverty extrovert. And we quite literally met at an airport. And when we ended up on the same plane, I talked to him for a bit. And then said “ok, I was really looking forward to reading my book on this flight, so I’m going to pause our conversation” He respected that. Got my number after the flight and is still stuck with me almost 18 years later

I really enjoy listening to audiobooks when I walk my dog, but so many people try to talk to me. I’ve contemplated getting big headphones so they can see them easier, but now wonder if they’d help

For me it’s the way she worded it. As a recovering codependent, I am triggered by someone telling me what they need me to do. She can beg away, but she cannot make me responsible for her needs.

I've always learned not to talk to strangers. And that's why I put my headphones in. But also being aware of my surroundings.

I am an introvert and I also sometimes like to have a conversation with a strangers like cashier or people in the line but I need right mood for it and if I were headphones I'm definitely not in the mood

I have paralyzing social anxiety and I can seem fine but if a stranger springs a conversation on me with no warning, I can get so overwhelmed and shut down. My headphones are to manage anxiety
