I would be so incredibly careful using steel wool on glass I’m a cleaner have had my own business for 3 years and it’s far too abrasive

I use Rainx after every 2nd or 3rd clean as it acts as a protective barrier. When I wash the next 2 times, any build-up just comes straight off with whatever cleaner you want to use. For heavier build-up, I clean then use Antifog before the Rainx which gets rid of any residual.
