For anyone wondering how they got through the barrier (spoiler alert) Aline aka “the paintress” never tried to stop anyone and she used the “people” as a way to gain chroma back (Lumiere is her creation not Versos) the closer they get to her the more powerful they become that’s why Renoir kills everyone in the beginning to stop her from getting more chroma.

It’s crazy how e60 already had everything figured out(the paintress not being the problem) and all they had to do was bring their journal back to lumiere to deliver the information but failed and that delayed them another 27 years
