Okay, today is May 13th, and on April 13th (my favorite date, hehe), we got together. I have to say, in our first month, we’ve already had so many ups and downs, but it’s going to work out right? We always make up, and afterward, everything is good again. I honestly couldn’t afford to lose such a wonderful person like Jaylin. I think everyone around me already knows her by name, because I talk about her constantly. But how could I not? I’ve never met anyone like her. She’s so kind, so loving, so powerful in the way she makes me feel seen, really, truly seen. She makes me feel like I matter. Like I’m enough. And at the same time, she makes me want to be better. Not because I’m not good now, but because she deserves the best version of me and I want to give that to her. She’s my first thought when I wake up and my last thought before I fall asleep. I think about her when I’m happy but also when I’m sad. I could mention her in every single conversation, honestly. She means so incredibly much to me, and I mean it with all my heart when I say that I’d be nothing without her. She’s the reason I’m still holding on and the reason I’m as happy as I am right now. You have no idea how positive her impact on me has been. In the past few days or weeks, my mom even asked who I’m talking to because I’ve been happier than I’ve been in a long time. Jaylin really is the most important person in my life, and no matter what happens, I will do everything I can to keep her in my life. No stupid argument will ever take her away from me. And I’m going to keep working on myself so that we argue less, so she feels better, and so I can be good enough for her. Because she is definitely a few levels above me. She truly deserves the world, and I’ll try everything to give it to her. And besides that, I’ll tear apart anyone who even tries to hurt her. There’s a softness to her that calms me in ways no one else ever could. Her voice has become my favorite sound. Her laugh? It’s like a melody I never want to stop hearing. Even when we argue, when emotions are high, there’s still something inside me that knows she’s home. I really hope she heals from all the things she doesn’t talk about and that she visits me very, very soon. If her calls already heal me so much, I can only imagine how it’ll be when I finally get to hold her in my arms. Though I’m not sure I’ll be able to let her go again. So here’s to the first and best month with her. My life has never been better. Sure, I’ve had many low points, but she was there whether I was distant or needed her close. She truly is the best girlfriend ever, and I hope everyone finds a Jaylin in their life. I really hope I’ll have a future with this girl. It’s crazy before her, I couldn’t even see a future for myself. And now I’m imagining a future with her colorful and chaotic, but I hope we’ll be happier than anything, and proof that long-distance relationships do last.
