the comparison of breathing through a straw is ACTUALLY from COPD NOT popcorn lung. Your lungs lose their elasticity so you cannot push the air completely out or breathe completely in (not including residual volume) due to the fact that your lungs cannot fully inflate and deflate. Popcorn lung is caused by the chemical diacetyl. It scars the alveoli which impairs gas exchange. Hope this helped! If you’re going to speak about something, do it correctly!!
