Did you try shutting it off. Then unplugging it . Then plugging it back in? lol

Do not put bleach. The fumes will deteriorate the coil in the air handler, and in a few years you gonna need a new unit.

only hot water and a shop vac and drain line pills anything else will more than likely damage the evap coil the oder from bushes being around the condensers is bad for the coils to I did hvac and refrigeration for 20 years service and installs and that is what I've seen over the years

There's also a capacitor on the compressor outside that can be an easy fix.

As an HVAC technician, it usually isn’t a big deal to fix things with these. But some are a real pain.

I have to vacuum mine out every once in a while because it backs up and turns everything off. Inconvenient, yes, but a big relief when I find out that was all it needed 😅

One of the most common calls during the AC cycle. Left drain (on most systems) is the primary drain. Where it’s supposed to drain. The right drain - secondary (where the float switch is) is for exactly that.. a secondary or emergency drain. Most of the time the primary drain is clogged. Buy a little co2 kit or shop vac. Will save you some money and time👍

The float switch is a safety switch that will kill the 24v circuit to your unit to keep it from running in the event your drain clogs. If the float switch is up, no 24v, means 24v from the thermostat to the condenser is cut so unit won’t run. Clear the float switch, restores 24v, unit runs again

bleach or vinegar can corrode your coils which costs a lot of money to repair. there's a compressed air package that will flush your drain pipe
