If you are a parent, your child should take up a majority of your time and effort. There's nothing wrong with that alone. If you are doing that for your kids, that is the objectively correct thing to do, and you are being a good parent. That being said, if the most you can offer a new partner is 10% of your time and effort, that means you're not a good partner. If I can get 20% of someone's resources from just a friendship, but only 10% from a relationship with you, why would I commit to that relationship?

she is completely out of touch with that statement. Unless the kids are adults, they become a liability and when things go wrong, you have no control over both, thus loosing both at the same time. mentally. emotionally. financially. just brutal.

It’s also the fact that let’s say you marry a women with a child and you grow close to their child and learn to love them and bond with them to the point that start seeing them as your own child then bam the women you married wants to divorce you for whatever reason that may be and you lose that said child cause they are not your child there the women’s child and you have no right to them. Sure you can still be in contact with them but it’s up to the mother of the child to let them stay in contact with you but let’s say they are vindictive and they cut all contact off and you have no way to stay in contact with said child. So the child is as good as dead to you unless somehow down the line when they are old enough they track you down to be with you

The reason a man without kids shouldn’t date single moms is very simple: Her first priority should be her child(ren), not him. That’s how it ought to be. But it also means that he can at best be her second priority. And no man should enter a relationship where she’s his first priority and he’s not hers, that’s a lopsidedness that he should avoid. Which means a man without kids shouldn’t make a single mom his first priority: She shouldn’t reciprocate. Now, what kind of relationship would this be, where neither is the other’s first priority? Only if he has kids of his own might that still be healthy.

If I date a single mom than I'm sacrificing time, energy and money into a kid I have no say in how they are raised and that kid will always be her priority. Never me. Its like making monthly payments on a Lamborghini I never get to enjoy

"I can't, I have the kid/s." kinda destroys spontaneous. or if baby daddy never emotionally matured & is a child himself. sometimes there's more baggage than baggage claim at the airport. arguments that wouldn't be had otherwise. so it potentially can destroy.

Yes, it is the fact that they have a kid, not just the ego. Cause that puts you in a very complex position were you have to take care of the kid and, most of the time, not be recognized as a father. Also, it often means another man is going to be involved, to a degree, in your relationship.
