As a cyber security analyst, i would do a ms defender deep scan, i would try to find the culprit with a secondary task manager program. Like Process lasso, this program is used for low end pc's to manage programs better, i.e makes games run better.

Here's a pro tip... stop trying to find creative ways to get rid of it, start over, wipe the drive and start over clean.

Get a app that checks your temps on your components to see if it actually goes under load or if it’s just putting fans on high for some reason

Happened to me ones, I caught it using nzxt cam, it was able to show what is actually using the resources and it didn’t hide itself from it, for me it was the DWM process which is Desktop Window Manager and then I noticed that there are 2 dwm in the task manager one is the original and the other is the fake one and also I noticed that the in user column the real dwm shows "DWM-1" and the fake one shows "system" which isn’t supposed to show that, tried every anti virus didn’t help but then I was able to find the source of the malware which was a task in the task scheduler that runs every time my PC boots up, I removed the task and I was able to git rid of it, check the task scheduler take screenshots of the folders and tasks then send it to Chatgpt It actually helped me find it.

it's game over when AI based malware hit the scene.. just have to isolate your online PC from an offline PC to keep your valuable data safe. don't even bother with AV software, not worth the time unless you desperately need data saved before wiping. real good malware lives in read only partitions, so be sure to wipe and recreate partitions to clean them best

Hey man, you don't have a virus. I'd suggest using CMD and checking which process is using your resources instead of task manager. At least you can log utilization immediately with a .bat or .PS1 script before it stops. You're just not good at finding the process causing your issue 😊

All the annoying just wipe comments. Some people have put years into their systems and would like to explore options other than just wipe. Start with your network. Lock it down immediately. Monitor your network activity very closely. Wire glass ( or wire shark is more advanced but a great tool)for example, it’s free, monitors network activity Very useful. Just my two cents. Just running antivirus is not gonna find something already so deep. Although if it is rootkit a wipe may be necessary.
