Fled from my gov job now I’m back working from home, better work life balance, and when I do go into office the environment is fun. Took a pay cut out of the gate but worth it to get away from this.

I’m already working two jobs due to not being able to hire and driving 1.5hrs one way. Not to mention I will finally get my 8 hrs of annual leave being my 15th year. Not sure if I will make now and sustain this. My job is critical to running my organization, so if I go…my whole post will go under. This is awful. 🥺

Maybe OPM shouldn’t have unlawfully gutted entire divisions including congressionally authorized services that are still being paid for without the staff to do the work…hint fraud and abuse

So I looked and that contract was TINY - $350K. I was wondering if after they awarded it they were just going to amend it to bazillions that it would cost for realz.

It’s almost like mass layoffs and a less than pragmatic system overhaul does not make good business sense.

The story of most computer systems in the government! The reason no one knows where the money is going! It will take 10 years to fix all the broken systems…..See military audits……

These systems worked fine for years, but now they are a problem🤔🤔🤔 Seems to me that it’s not the software it’s the administration and their overhaul of the Government

Acquisition cannot be short-cut. It will always backfire and take much longer than if you just did it right from the start.

OPM also reclassified our purchase agents and decided to reduce their grade two full steps…when they reclassified two years ago and gave them a grade increase! Who is running the show?
