This misses the whole point. Short term it’s absolutely going to augment people. But then then if that makes someone twice as efficient. Half the jobs go in that industry.

They told us it would take software developers jobs but, as a developer, I can say it writes shit code… however it is excellent at debugging or generating syntactically correct skeleton code, makes us more productive and we lose jobs anyway

it's because the $$$ going into AI isn't going into stuff to help people achieve goals, AI doing the goals for the people.
