maybe I'm wrong but I think theres a misunderstanding here. I think he's asking for a 15 second animation for this audio bit. not a music video for the whole song. I think 2 weeks for 15 seconds is decently reasonable

Genuine tip, because the price is extremely low for the amount of time you're giving. Either raise the price significantly or extend the deadline significantly. Most of these artists are in exams anyways.

Just use the 2500$ and give it to an animator you like to make a short . Which is still a ridiculously low budget for animation. But at least it would be a guaranteed paycheque for their hard work.

I think he keeps doing these because he wants to push supporting artists consistently. Also I’ve seen multiple artists go from 100, to 100,000 followers just for making art of him. No one is forcing anyone to enter these. I think they’re fun.

People complaining are obviously in it just for the money. The money is the bonus not the goal. He’s encouraging animators if they want to enter. He’s asking only for 5 to 15 sec of an animation not the whole song 😭 but people still like to complain.

Why am I noticing that most of the people complaining ARENT animators. Guess what guys.... its a choice thing? You dont HAVE to do it. This is meant to not only help his song, but to allow smaller channels to be seen, but its not like he's mind controlling them to be apart of it if it isn't worth it too them.

i so wanna assume good intentions bc you speak out against ai and artists are blowing up from these challenges, but the parameters for this one are so unethical.. i get that no one is being forced to participate but there’s clearly a lack of understanding of animation process, deadlines, fair wages etc and it’s going to do more harm than good for both the spirit of the challenges. even giving a challenge, choosing a winner, and then buying their art from them would be better instead of offering payment in the form of a prize
