Agnes is my favorite portrayel of Cinderella. She is flawed and not a perfect victim. I love how they show the complexity of Agnes with her validly hating but also showing kindness to Elvira. I do wish that the movie also explore the relationship between Agnes and Alma, since Alma doesn't have the stepmother's influence and is generally portrayed to be indifferent yet compassionate.

I finally watch it, those who only sided with Elvira are delulu. How y'all ignore the stepmom let Agnes dad rot ? The stepmother is the true villain. Agnes was in survival mode cus she knows what going to happen, since she recognize the stepmom spending habits and it gave her more reasons to leave her own home. Elivra had bad role models around her. But I hate yall ignore when Agnes still show her kindness to Elivra after outed her.
