MLB should not be ashamed. They stood by their ruling. Pete had a lifetime ban for gambling which was wrong and against the rules and has a zero tolerance policy for it which can cause a person to throw the game to make a bet. Pete did a FAFO and he did and this was his reward. A lifetime of signing autographs at a $100 a pop to make ends meet. . If anything they should be ashamed of their umpires blowing calls with instant replay.
