This song calls out men for setting unrealist expectations for women. But if I’m being honest, I’ve never been body or beauty shamed harder than by other women!! I don’t know why we can’t lift eachother up instead. Today’s filter and cosmetic surgery society has me terrified for my young daughter. I’d love to normalize the natural beauty of women. I have laugh lines and crows feet, bc I smile and laugh everyday. I have stretch marks bc I was blessed with 2 beautiful children. They are also responsible for the bags that are usually under my eyes! 😂 Why should I be embarrassed by that!? I grew up so different! I don’t even know how to apply any makeup besides mascara 😂 So enjoy this video that has my wirnkles and my fine lines in plain view. My skin has texture & isn’t remotely airbrushed looking. My eyebrows move all over the place 😂 And before anyone feels triggered, this is not an attack on any women who prefers the way she looks with a filter or a filler. Do you Honey! My only point is that aging happens. Skin moves with our facial expressions. And the models we see in magazines and the influencers on social media do NOT look like that without help! So girls and women should never compare themselves or be made to feel like less.
