And this is EXACTLY why boarding places, trainers and vets will tell you to leave them some items of clothing youve recently worn. The smellier the better. Many dogs and cats literally use that as a comfort/security blanket.

When my mom died I thought it was weird that our dog didn’t immediately sense it. It was about 3 days later when he woke us up in the middle of the night crying
