Soooo, truckers who have cats that go on long hauls with them are being cruel??? Check them out, the cats are curled up on the dashboard fast asleep, or sitting on the chair next to the driver. Completely fine.

There is a special place in hell for people that are ok with leaving an animal behind. Same goes for people that take their old dog to a shelter because they got a puppy or are having a baby.

honestly as a shelter worker the thing that pisses me off more is the people who are willing to abandon their pets just because they're moving to the next town over or 20 minutes down the road

I flew my cats to Germany from DC and train/ferried them from Germany to Ireland. Were their travel days stressful? Sure. Would it have been more stressful to abandon them? 150000%

listen, I know my cat is gonna be stressed for a couple days when we move to the UK, but it would be worse if my boy was forced to stay in the US. not only have we been through everything together, but why would he wanna stay in this country?

I drove 23 hours with nothing but my clothes, my cats and my husband in a Honda Civic. there was less than 0 percent chance I was leaving my cats. I would have left my husband first 😅

My neighbors abandoned their elderly cat and a younger cat when they moved. Left them outside with a box. I ended up having to take them to a shelter because I couldn't keep them.

I got my cat because he was collared as an indoor/outdoor cat, but one day his collar was missing and he was hurt. We visit the address (I photographed his collar) come to find out the owners moved 6 months before. And it was the second time he was surrendered to the shelter. I sobbed on the way home - we adopted him 2 weeks later.
