This is fair. Even prisoners can earn degree s while locked up.

As long as he isn’t participating in the ceremony and he had enough credits to graduate 🤷♀️

If he’s not walking, then just let it go. Most college bound athletes are way ahead in school. He was probably only taking classes so he could play his sport anyway. There are so many more important things to focus on.

If he’s not walking then what’s the issue? He completed his graduation requirements then he is entitled to his diploma.

He didn’t satisfy graduation requirements. There is a 90-10 rule for attendance. He missed more than 18 days in the past 3 months. Also with all zeros for the past 2 months, there is no way he is still passing

I’m totally against what he done & stand by AM 100% but he earned his diploma. It would be absurd to not let him have it. They did make the right decision about not letting him walk though.

As long as he isn't participating in gradation activities or on school grounds I don't see a problem with it. He probably earned his credits before this happened.

He earned his degree and should be allowed to receive…by mail!!! I agree with the district in not allowing him to attend any school functions.

He should still be in custody. If he has enough credits, they can mail him his diploma.

No matter where you stand with all of this, if already had enough credits to graduate before this incident, then he earned that diploma.

its fine, give him his diploma- he earned it. He doesn’t get to walk at graduation though which is fair! and what’s a HS diploma going to do for him when he’s locked up? Because it’s coming…

Why shouldn’t he get his diploma? We have worse in prisons getting their degrees. It won’t affect him being prosecuted accordingly,

“Make sure every student is safe” it’s a little late for that, safety should have been a concern prior to April 2nd.

That’s wild. I get maybe his credits transfer someplace else but how does a school that just expelled you for knifing someone still allow you to graduate? Wild times we are in 🤦🏻♂️
