omg thank you sm for this bc i feel like im in that “humorless” stage right now. i’ve gotten so deep down the “healing” rabbit hole, that i feel like ive lost all my ability to joke & be playful. i constantly feel like im boring bc everyone around me can easily play or tell a joke and im kinda just…there. i also realize i overthink a lot more now ab every little interaction

You just totally hit on what I’ve been experiencing, I’ve been trying to be 100% real with my friends and the people close around me, but actually really to form deep friendships and genuine connection, there has to be some amount of tension, fun, intrigue. Being face-value gets very boring very quickly.

yeah, but the opposite exists to. my friend, when we are at school at least, is almost 100% sarcastic in like a very demeaning, socially ostracizing way. honestly makes me want to not be his friend anymore
