We don't own this country. We belong here, Maori are and always will be the indigenous guardians of this land. This culture is what makes this place special and unfortunately it's slowly been striped away.

Can I vote for Te Pati Maori if I I’m not Maori? Party’s values and morals stand level with mine, putting people first - being authentic. How you all came together, makes me cry everytime. I’m jealous of your culture, im as white as European decent come - in which we have NO culture (except a fat guy in a red suit with cola 🤨). The boats that also had no morals or values for others, that bought with it so much harm and manipulation - from whoever I’ve come from, im sorry. I hope I get the chance to give you all more space to speak, to have more say in what happens to this country, which should be your right; not only that, our country needs to think about what actually matters in life, that our days of political back and forth only drives us deeper into a feeling of disconnect, your party holds those values that can help us all find contentment in our own lives. I hope that makes sense, thankyou to everyone who marched to parliament - you opened not just many peoples minds in NZ, but you earnt the worlds respect. Keep speaking, we are listening, more than in that house. 💕
