@itsmrskelly: I think a true test to our humanity is the ability to empathise with those we disagree with vehemently. I think it’s a common misconception that everybody is their opinions, even when they hold them tightly. There’s an emerging trend of “well we have taken the high road forever, and it’s never worked so now it’s time to meet them head on” it can seem like an admirable thing, but the just fight for good is an ongoing battle, and to win hearts it takes a sympathy more powerful than any sword or pen. It’s not easy, but few things worth doing are. Go easy on yourself in your journeys, this is EVERYONE’S first time alive, and we are all constantly changing and becoming exactly who we are meant to.
