after seeing Jiyara taking on Pain I definitely believe he solos itachi the only reason Jiyara lost was because he didn't have all the info on Pain sage mode is overpowered and Jiyara was using an incomplete version of it

Itachi doesn't have EMS. ALL of his best attacks drain ridiculous amounts of chakra. Itachi couldnt afford a long drawn out battle with Jiraiya. Especially with his health. Don't forget, Pain himself said Jiraiya would've beaten him if he knew how his power worked. And he still managed to take 3 out.

After seeing all characters in shippuden, the legendary sanin are legit bums. Itachi no diffed orochimaru, tsunade was physically useless against pain and madara, and jiraya got cooked by pain
