@cbsnews: A passenger who tried to open an emergency door while aboard a United Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Boston before attempting to stab a flight attendant in the neck with a broken metal spoon pleaded guilty on Tuesday. The 2023 incident occurred 45 minutes before the flight landed and the man was taken into custody shortly after the flight's arrival. Shortly after launching into a rant and shouting he would "kill every man on this plane," video showed him walking toward the emergency door and attacking a flight attendant. He was then seen being tackled by passengers and other flight crew members. Francisco Severo Torres, 34, pleaded guilty to one count of interference and attempted interference with flight crew members and attendants using a dangerous weapon, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.
