@armchairengineer: Fish Passage on the LSRDs since day one. And year after year, more research is done to improve passage and life for the fish swimming both upstream and downstream. I highly recommend a visit to one of these dams to see for yourself all that goes into fish passage. The fish are probably doing much better than you've been told. #fish #salmon #nature #lowergranitedam #snakeriver #fishpassage #cleanenergy
What percentage of the power produced goes to server farms? Particularly in Oregon.

Apologies if you’ve covered this in another video, but how do they count all the fish that go through the bypass channels? Is there an estimated margin of error? And do they count fish going upstream as well as downstream?

If META in Kuna, Idaho gets their facility up and running we are going to be taxed out on our energy production here in Idaho. That leaves no room for the growth factor. Leave the dams, get people on board with nuclear and build a few reactors out here in the desert and maybe we'll have enough energy for the future. I can't understand why people want to make electricity rates skyrocket by tearing down dams. It's already going up to fast.

10% mortality is associated w/ adult going up and smolts on the way down that is due to compensatory mortalities.

Obvious improvement. But do you know how many fish go through the turbines compared to how many go down the bypass channel?
