unfortunately it was the animal rights groups who caused this to happen💔they got the government to ban the display of cetaceans in france, they were supposed to go to another park but the authorities denied the move and now the orcas have no where safe to go😞they have been trying to move the orcas since 2023, but animal rights groups delayed the moves significantly and caused 2 of the 4 orcas they had to pass away. because they lost funding the tanks started to deteriorate, the long the orcas were there the worse it got, and that's what caused the death of the 2 other orcas (moana and inouk). the staff and animals were supposed to be gone over a month ago at the latest, but managed to get an extension on time. it was thought if they were not out before then the animals would be euthanised (instead of moving to another park and having a new pod and the care they need). the trainers are working as hard as possible to look after them and their health. those trainers are working harder than anyone and trying their absolute hardest to deal with this situation. these animals need to go to go to another facility asap. they are not candidates for release, or even a sanctuary. they were both born into human care and have lived in controlled environments their whole lives. they wouldn't survive on their own in the wild, and there's a high chance they wouldn't survive in the ocean even if humans still cared for them. there also isn't any sanctuary sites built anyways and it would take a minimum of 5-8 years and they cannot stay in that deteriorating tank any longer💔the main sanctuary company that has been trying to obtain these whales, the whale sanctuary project, is a scam. they have received millions of dollars (and made hundreds of thousands in profit for themselves!!!) and not built a single thing, they don't even have permits. their proposed plan is simple nets in the ocean that is WAY smaller than their current tank, they have no plans for if the orcas cannot acclimate, they have no way of giving the orcas healthcare of even simple check ups which is absolutely vital. seapens are not suitable for any current captive whales or dolphins.

THEY ARE NOT ABANDONED. They are being fed and still receive enrichment. Anti captives told the government to stop performing them ( which is high energy exercises ) so they stopped performing. Meaning no money was made… to support these animals.

Not that I am condoning the park nor defending it, the whales are still being fed, but yes they’re in horrible living condition, but can absolutely thank the “animal rights” group for delaying the process of the whale being transported to another facility.

If the government won’t do anything we as the public need to step up and do something! A go fund me something? There are loads of wildlifecharities that can step in here and make some noise about this as they have the platforms! SOMETHINH NEEDS TO BE DONE
