Capitalism creates disability aswell. In a socialist society we would have less birth defects, less suffering and a better more fair life for disabled folks. ppl wouldn't even feel the want to discuss eugenics...

I think the biggest thing is some people can’t comprehend that just because they PERSONALLY might not have children in certain circumstances doesn’t mean that it should be a SOCIETAL standard to not have children in similar cases. People confusing their own personal morals with ethics they are connected but NOT the same

My opinion is : having children in this society is immoral and egoist for EVERYONE, so it’s quite hypocritical for people to single out disabled people when most parents are not doing therapy to be mentally prepared to have one, and no one question it. No one is in a perfect condition to have kids

Y’ll are being emotional. Everyone is a eugenicist in their personal lives for example why do y think majority of woman wouldn’t date a 4ft11 guys because they care about the genres that thier kids are gonna inherit. If not forced by the gov why is it bad? Places like India for example where everyone gets married of and have kids due to no eugnic worldview we can see these kids living in these slums with no chance of escape and the overpopulation making things worse. So we need to not be cruel and have a mix of both eugnics and sympathy for people that have less then us in terms of ability and money.

I'm confused tho. You are against people who think they should force others, or people who have a stand on when should someone choose to reproduce? Because I have the second, I wouldn't force anyone but I have moral ideas about it and tbh judge those who think differently and I'm open to debate

Children are not commodities, they are living, thinking human beings, whose welbeing is the #1 priority, as they have not consented to being born. You have an ethical obligation to those children above your own selfish need to have offspring

francis galton (the creator of the term eugenics and original theory writter) was Charles darwin's cousin and they heavily influenced each other's works. they were both truly horrible people that made horrible theories.
