@pbsnews: The Supreme Court heard a case Thursday related to President Donald Trump's efforts to enforce his birthright citizenship executive order. The justices heard more than two hours of arguments about whether federal judges can issue nationwide injunctions, which temporarily halt a policy or regulation as the case works its way through the courts. In court, the discussion focused on the judges who blocked Trump's order banning automatic citizenship for children born in the United States. The justices are expected to make their decision by the end of June or early July.PBS News' John Yang has more. #pbsnews #newshour #pbsnewshour #supremecourt #news #federaljudges #judiciary #birthrightcitizenhip #trumpadministration

Serious issue, even more serious is the Courts ability to extend their rulings to every State and every citizen therein. No due process for anyone not represented in lawsuit process

It seems this administration is turning it back on the people. So several people have to Sue to become a legal resident of the United States even if they're born in the United States with family.🔥

Problem is if you travel to Japan and have child your child has birthright citizenship but Japan requires the child to give up their American citizenship. No dual citizenship.

The point of the judicial branch is to stand up to unconstitutional factions, even if it’s the majority, James Madison wrote about this in the federalist papers…..

The actual term on this, that is widely overlooked. It's called anchor babies . this is when two illegals have a child born here, which makes that child a legal U.S citizen and grants them legal status until that child turns eighteen . Report correctly or not at all .

The U.S. Constitution prohibits retroactive laws that would take away rights or impose penalties for actions that were legal when taken. Revoking citizenship from individuals who were granted it at birth would be considered retroactive and likely unconstitutional.

The day that government picks and chooses whom is qualified to have birthright citizenship is the day that weaponization of government versus a certain ethnic group will be targeted based a whim of an administration. 🤔👀🙉🙊🙈🤯🫨

Federal courts can put injunction on Executive Orders because they are federal issues.

I think the root of this problem is having political judges. The judicial is meant to be unbiased for a reason. There should be no difference in Texan or Californian judges.
