I’ve been going for 3 years raising corn and soybeans. Started through the FSA. Now I’m currently farming 350 acres this year. I’m 23 years old

Someone starting from scratch can not come close to be able to afford the equipment. Hidden costs is another beast. Sad but 💯true.

My husband and I are the process of taking over my family’s farm. It was left to nature with cows as pets and we are struggling to make it manageable again. Any advice is amazing advice ❤️

Second generation, farmers, have no business, telling first generation farmers, how to start you are just beating down the potential new generation for your own financial game and you’re using social media to your Benefit!!! Maybe you should keep making podcasts and give up your ground to someone who will spend more time working on the farm!!!

I am an investor in a farm in North Carolina. We grow Hopson and barley for local microbrew small beer companies in the area.

That’s exactly what I’m doing. I’m going through boots to business for veterans. My goal is to purchase my family’s farm but I’m trying to talk to all the local farmers. Everyone has their own experiences and different backgrounds. What works for them and what doesn’t. Everyone is so friendly and wealth of knowledge. I was told growing up never get involved in farming there is no money In it. Now they are of age to retire and no one to take it over.

I started from scratch, luckily I’m in a position where I have a multi gen farm helping me out and helped me make good decisions. Truly thankful for what I have every day.

Problem is the big guys are leasing land at prices that a first gen farmer just can’t compete with.
