@abc7chicago: Ben Cohen, co-founder of the ice cream company Ben & Jerry’s, was arrested along with six others for disrupting a budget hearing in Washington on Wednesday, May 14. Footage by anti-war organization Code Pink shows Cohen as he was removed from the Dirksen Senate Office Building by police. An activist is heard asking Cohen why he was being arrested. “Congress kills poor kids in Gaza by buying bombs, and pays for it by kicking kids off Medicaid in the US,” Cohen responded. Earlier footage showed the moment Cohen and other protesters interrupted US Health Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr during the hearing.
