Aside from extremely expensive types of window tinting, no do-it-yourself product is going to give you privacy both daytime and night time. When the light reverses, the visibility reverses.

It’s better used for the solar reflecting properties than the privacy. I used a similar product for a couple west facing windows and it helped with the heat.
