I can agree with the psychology part. But the biggest part of retail failure rate is, its all rigged for retail to lose. Investment banks make the market, hedge funds supply misleading education, they pay media outlets to a degree as to why the markets are moving in a certain way, retail brokers have COI contracts with their clients...hence why retail is mocked as dumb money
