It would be cool if you made a video hooking up that dvd/cd player to your Apple monitor display, with an Hdmi to RCA conversion device, and played some dvds or vcds on it. I would like to see what DVDs would look like on that monitor. 😄

using a CD with a great CP player and great headphones: excellent combination. I use a Denon amplifier with a Marantz CD player and B&Ws headphones.

i have a Philips 5.1 Home theatre and a LG DVD player to listen to my CD collection, it's my best combo I have, and the best part is that can be found very cheap on thrift shops

Audio is problematic. When buying a cd or a vinyl you never know what it’s gonna sound like. It might be a good master, good press but could also be brickwalled or full of static noise. It’s an adventure😄
