I picked Maelle's ending at first thinking I wanted to save my comrades, then I realized all this did was repeat the same mistake as Aline, forcing someone to be there for me so I can avoid facing my grief 💔 Verso being the only one who ages while Gustave, Sophie, Sciel and Lune are undying and made to fit my image of a perfect fantasy devoid of all loss and grief. Maelle's ending does not save anyone, the canvas lives on under the form Alicia deemed fit so she could escape her grief, until she either kills herself or comes close to and Renoir comes in to take her out and destroy the canvas once and for all

I think a lot of people forget something about versos ending, is that there is a war outside and the family is threatened. Clea is alone fighting for them, and asked Alicia to get their parents out so they can handle this together...

Once maelle die everyone in the canves will gone too . So verso ending was more likely the right end . I wished they figured out how to seal the canves without none is dying and verso soul’s rest in peace, but again it unfortunate i think it impossible

Is the correct ending, It's versos Canvas and whether or not it's a piece of his real soul or not he ALWAYS wanted to stop painting, Verso loved music much more than painting, that's why throughout his entire life the only canvas they have is from when verso was a child.He never loved painting. It would be cruel to him to suffer him that fate It always should have been versos choice and the fact an exact copy of him in this world wants it to fade shows you everything you need to know about why it was the correct ending and choice to make. He Also wanted Alicia to live, she can always paint another canvas. This choice helps her and her entire family escape the cycle of grief they have been experiencing and finally lay verso and his canvas to rest. The characters of this world were real yes. However as verso said she can always paint again, as she does in her ending, I'm sure she repainted everyone she loved into a better world later. Especially One where Nevrons and other monstrosities haven’t torn the world apart and littered it with corpses. As Aline painted everyone we know in the game, they were never part of versos canvas before, so between Renoir Aline Clea And even Alecia they ruined his only Canvas and turned it into a wartorn world, full of things it was never meant for. Verso. Real or not, would NEVER want that for a part of himself or his world and also saving Alicia is a big reason, If he had done nothing and she lived as Maelle and died. Then his real death and everything that happened after would have been pointless and meant NOTHING. As he died saving her and as we can see Died saving her AGAIN.

Verso’s ending made the most sense to me. I like Maelle but her ending makes her a hypocrite. At some point you have to grief but she’s just avoiding it.

This ending absolutely killed me. I really hoped things would turn out ok, only made it hurt so much more. Especially when they spent a lot of time getting you attached to these characters.
